30 Years of the Lafayette 148 Uniform | EXPLORE THE CAMPAIGN

THE WORLD

In celebration of 30 years, we invited women across the Lafayette 148 community to document how the uniform is worn and lived in. With disposable cameras, clients, stylists and collaborators captured the pieces they return to, the ways they make them their own and the people, places and moments that give them meaning. Together, their photographs and stories form a collective portrait of the Lafayette 148 Uniform—personal, self-directed and one-of-a-kind.

Each received a disposable camera and a short questionnaire with a simple invitation: document your Uniform as you live in it. What came back was a collection of photographs and words as individual as the women who made them.

From West Palm Beach to Paris, Atlanta to San Francisco—at home, “in the C-suite” and on the go—the photographs capture each woman’s uniform in motion—and the life unfolding around it.

Alongside the photographs, their words reveal the rituals, instincts and experiences behind the way they dress.

“When I wear my uniform, I feel like I’m wearing a piece of ‘my story,’ something that speaks without words—sophisticated, effortlessly confident + powerful.” —Jean, Naples
